Magnetized Plasma Bubbles - Shaping the universe, and forming stars.

The Local Bubble near the Sun

The sun is inside the local bubble in a network of cavities in the interstellar medium ISM that is shaped by supernova explosions of hot magnetized plasma particles streaming inside our galaxy's spiral arms. The Local Interstellar Cloud (LIC) is shown in violet.
